The silk road is the trading route that connecting China with the western world and the other countries in the world. Nowadays, the silk road is not a real trading route. But its famous cultre and history is attracted more and more people who want to explore the places and culture of ancient silk road.

The silk road has a long history, which is more than 1,600 years. It is said that the Han Dynasty's Zhang Qian opened the silk road. It played an importatn role in ancient history of China. Since Han Dynasty, Chinese business men live a trading life on this road with their camel and horses. Many famous stories and cultures were left on this road. Although there are few buildings and relics left in nowadays, tourists still can trace some routes that the ancient business men walked.

Where Dose Silk Road Begin?

The route went through Chinese places including Xian, Dunhuang, Hexi Corridor, Xinjiang Province and foreign places such as Pakistan, India and Rome in Italy. On this road, tourists can explore the famous Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang and enjoy the local dishes and explore the traditional culture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
